Ciscoworks and TACACS on same machine

It says this isnt supported but has anyone had any success with doing this setup?

You are correct that it is not supported and I have various results when trying to set it up on the same server. Some of the problems I encountered were:

1) Integration between the products was failing while on the same machine

2) Tomcat process kept shutting down

I did have it working for a while on another attempt, but it was pretty resource intensive as well. I found it better to have LMS 2.5 on its own server as the release notes say.

i am using vmware and its working but im trying to avoid the MS licenses

Hi Drid,

What's your experience running Ciscoworks on VMWare? We are in the process of having our server guys set LMS2.5 up on VM although we have no support from our maintenance providers. (besides it being not supported, I need a good reason to persuade them to give us a stand-alone server)
