CiscoWorks Config Archiving problems

Hi,

from some devices it is not possible to fetch config via. Telnet. Device is UP and reachable, credentials are verified and correct. Telnet timeout is set to 60 seconds. For most of devices Config Archiving works but for some of them not. I can see this error massege:

TELNET: Failed to establish TELNET connection to 10.1.30.130 - Cause: Authentication failed on device 3 times.

What types of devices is this happening on primarily? Can you enable a packet capture while trying to perform a config fetch to see what is happening?

Any custom prompts?

Have you set the credentials, passwords & SNMP strings on the failing devices from within Common Services, Device Properties?

Are you using AAA security?

Are the devices outdated? What are the devices?
