I've installed latest ciscoworks, lms 2.5 I think, and in installation doc it is stated that I must disable IIS on server where I have cw. Can anyone tell me what exactly problems can I have if I enable iis on server where cw is located?
thanks

if you enable IIS the the ciscoworks webserver will not be able to start as the tcp port 80 will be used by IIS.
If you put IIS on another port e.g. 8080 then there won't be any problem.
You will get warnings about IIS when you install services packs.

:-))) I cannot belive it. And this is the reason cisco said it must be disabled? Couldn't they just write in inst manual "you must put IIS on another port"?

Cisco says the ciscoworks server is best a dedicated machine. I too tell my customers not to put anything else on there.
The strange problems that can come from the other applications are so difficult to find, nearly impossible to reproduce, etc. It's not worth the trouble.
Cheers,
Michel
