Hi Folks,

Does anyone know how to fix this issue with some devices?

"CM0057 PRIMARY STARTUP Config fetch SUCCESS, archival failed for lacrt021 Cause: Internal error Action: Verify that archive exists for device. CM0061 PRIMARY RUNNING Config fetch SUCCESS for lacrt021, no change in configuration. "

Cheers, SteveK.

You will need to look at the dcmaservice.log to see what this internal error is.

I found this in the dcmsservice.log file for the device from my previous example:

"[ Wed May 23 15:55:12 EST 2007 ],INFO ,[Thread-4473],com.cisco.nm.rmeng.dcma.configmanager.ConfigManager,updateArchiveOOB,839,JBP based immediate config collection for lacrt021

[ Wed May 23 15:55:13 EST 2007 ],ERROR,[Thread-4473],com.cisco.nm.rmeng.dcma.configmanager.DeviceArchiveManager,deleteStartupConfig,1817,CM0003: Version $1 does not exist in archive $2 Cause: Version may have been deleted

[ Wed May 23 15:55:13 EST 2007 ],ERROR,[Thread-4473],com.cisco.nm.rmeng.dcma.configmanager.ConfigManager,updateArchiveForDevice,1419,Error archiving config for lacrt021

[ Wed May 23 15:55:29 EST 2007 ],INFO ,[Thread-5],com.cisco.nm.rmeng.dcma.configmanager.ConfigManager,updateArchiveOOB,839,JBP based immediate config collection for lacrt021

"

Thanks for looking at this Joe.

This indicates archive corruption. If you remove this device from RME, then re-add, this problem should go away. Of course, the downside is that you will lose all history for this device.

Thanks Joe, I expected that may be the case.

SteveK.
