Ciscoworks Multiple interface deploy

I'm still trying to get CW to deploy a config change to multiple devices for multiple interfaces, but still having trouble.

I tried creating a basic compliance deploy that does this:

(I've tried different combinations of the name of the interface, like

[#FastEthernet.*#]

[#*FastEthernet*#]

[#Ethernet.*#]

[#*Ethernet*#]

interface [#FastEthernet.*#]

+ no shutdown

+ Description Test

But, when i look at the test devices I send it to, this is the CLI input:

no shutdown

no shutdown

% Incomplete command.

test2924cw(config)#

Description Test

Description Test

^

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

test2924cw(config)#

So, obviously it's not going to each interface that matches that command.

Do I have to use an advanced template, or am I doing something wrong? (although the document at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/cw2000e/e_4_x/4_0/u_guide/config.htm does not suggest that you have to use the advanced template)

Still trying to hack away at it, using the advanced template is next.

ok,I got it.

Basically you have to use the advanced template (from what I can tell), and in the "Submode" box you need to put the interface wildcard.

In my case "interface [#Fast.*#]" worked.

then, put the commands under the "CLI Commands"

Seems obvious but the documentation is a little sketch.
