The New Usertracking part of LMS 2.5 although having a usefull Client Toolbar Application is extremely slow when running reports and limited in its reporting capabilites. If for example you want to see all the end hosts that have attached to a particular switch in the last 3 months you have to view all the hosts detected in every scan. Which could mean that you have 32000 entries of which there my only be 100 actual hosts. Further more you can only view 500 at a time and export the same amount.
The previous version didnt store all the duplicate entries, so you could see if a port was unused for a period of time. Of course then all the information is there, but im surprised that the developers of the new LMS made some of the product less useful than the previous. As far as I am concerned the New Fault Manager is a waste of time and highly uninformative as a Fault Console and bears resemble to the WLAN Ciscoworks fault manger which is useless.
This is not to say that the new LMS doesnt have some better functions than the old one, but has anyone got any ideas as to how to obtain usefull reports from Usertracking without receiving back pages of duplicate information .
