I've just started in a new position, The previous Engineer (5 years ago) installed Ciscoworks, but no-one can remember the login name or password. Are these held on the windows box, or not. Also, could I install the latest ciscoworks without the login and password.

The username and password are held in a file called cwpass on the system. However, the passwords are encrypted.

You can replace the cwpass with a file in an orig directory called cwpass. This will reset the admin password to admin

You'll want to get the password recovered before upgrading
