CNA SmartPorts and custom Macros

Hi,

I'm trying to discover if CNA Smartports support only built-in Cisco macros (ie "Desktop", "IP Phone+Desktop", "Switch", "Router" and "Access Point"), or if it can recognize and apply custom macros.

Custom macros generaly don't appear in "Modify Port Roles" window CNA-Smartport window, but when I embed the "Macro type : default interface" at the beginning of the custom macro, it appears in CNA-Smartport and can be applied (although variables are not parsed by CNA). I've found no documentation at Cisco about this "Macro type" command...

Any help ?

Thanks,

Gian-Paolo

Re: CNA SmartPorts and custom Macros

Here follows a custom macro I created; it appears in CNA-Smartport window ("Modify Port Roles" scroll list), but CNA doesn't request user to enter a value for variable $access_vlan.

Tests have been run under CNA 4.1 and 5.0 .

#sh parser macro name Testing

Macro name : Testing

Macro type : customizable

Macro type : default interface

# macro keywords $access_vlan

switchport access vlan $access_vlan

switchport mode access

Re: CNA SmartPorts and custom Macros

Hello,

I have the same issues creating smartport macros. Do you have a solution for the issue, yet?
