Command to power off router

Router must power off after heating to define temperature. How I can realize it?

Re: Command to power off router

It varies greatly depending on how you want to get the temperature readings.

If basing on IOS/CatOS self-diagnostics, in some instances, the Cisco device shuts itself down: "SYS-2-SUP_TEMPSHUTDOWN: System shutdown due to high temperature".

Else, you set up monitoring to watch for syslog or SNMP alerts such as "SYS-0-*_TEMPMAJORFAIL:* major temperature threshold exceeded", and trigger action against managed PDUs (power distribution unit) that your router is plugged into.

For temperature monitoring independent of router hw/sw, deploy environmental sensors (e.g. http://www.liebert.com/product_pages/Product.aspx?id=92) and configure them to notify managed PDUs powering your routers.
