In cisco works RME 2 of my device configs are not getting archived I get the following error message in RME-->Administration-->config Mgmt-->archive status--failed devices
Telnet: PGM_NM=Configuration Archive:6751:TYPE=unassigned message type::Failed to receive device prompt. TFTP: PGM_NM=Configuration Archive:6711:TYPE=unassigned message type::Incomplete TFTP operation . Ssh: Failed to initiate ssh session: Cannot create ssh session to hostname.test.in
If I do a check device attributes on this device I get a incorrect status under Tacacs (Tacacs is configured on the device). however if I do a telnet to the device from CW machine I am able to login to the device using the tacacs login credentials configured in CW.
There are total of 8 devices with the same login credentials only 2 device configs are not being archived.
My CW version and device software versions are given below.
What is Ciscoworks using to access the device and initiate the archive? SNMP? telnet? If it is telnet, is it a regular prompt like ciscoworks is expecting? Is the prompt on the 6.3.10 device different from the 6.3.3 and 6.3.5?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
