hi, i am wondering if i can scehdule the backup (on a remote server) of configurations of all the devices deployed on my LMS. Also, if that is possible, would it be possible if i could configure this process in such a way that the files get named on the hostname of the devices...

About the best thing you could do would be to take a backup of the shadow directory. You can change the archive location, but may have some challenges sending it to a remote server....you can try it, not sure if it is supported:

RME - Admin - Config Mgmt - Archive Mgmt - Archive Settings...change the location here if it is a mapped drive or partition

The only place where configs are stored with hostname/IP is the shadow directory:

On Solaris,

/var/adm/CSCOpx/files/rme/dcma/shadow

On Windows,

NMSROOT/files/rme/dcma/shadow
