I have installed LMS 2.5.1.
But when I startup the Campus manager , I received the message "Connecting to ANI-server" and this message will stay there for a few hours. After this I received that java cannot connect the ANI-server.
I see that there are many processes of cwjava.exe , they take all of the memory of the server.
RME and DFM are starting up well . Do someone know what kind of problem I have?
regards

ANIServer uses a CORBA gatekeeper for client/server communications. As such, there are additional TCP ports that must be opened between client and server. See http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/cw2000_b/lms/lms251/lms251qm.htm#wp1028671 for that list.
On top of this, if the CiscoWorks server is multi-homed, Topology Services clients will only be able to connect from one interface on the server. This interface's IP address must be known to Gatekeeper. See http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/cw2000_d/cs303/cs303rn/cwcs_rnw.htm#wp1040453 for information on configuring a multi-home server.
If the IP address or hostname of the CiscoWorks server changes, you must go through a procedure to update the CiscoWorks server information. See http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/cw2000_d/cs303/usrguide/diagnos.htm#wp1078582 for the required steps.
If you are using a proxy, make sure proxying is disabled for the IP address and hostname of the CiscoWorks server.
Finally, make sure you are using the correct version of the Java Plug-in. Note: JPI 1.5.0 is not supported in ANY release of CiscoWorks.

Hi Mayur,
thanks for your response ,
the problem here was that my client used a proxy and the ip address and hostname of the CW server was not disabled on the proxy seerver

Hi Dirk,
do you have a machine with multiple network interfaces? If yes disable the not needed!
Please have a look if the ANI-DB Process is running.
"Common Services -> Server -> Admin -> Processes"
ANIDbEngine
ANIDbServer
Please have a look here:
"Common Services -> Server -> Admin -> Selftest"
Create a new selftest. Have a look for error.
What OS are you running?
Best regards,
Frank

Hi ,
thanks for your response,
You give me the solution for this problem:
My client used a proxy server and he did not disable proxying for the ip address and hostname of the CW2000
Thanks
