copy ftp behavior question

If I drop the password portion from the following, would I be prompted for the ftp password?

copy ftp://username:password@tftpserver/tftpboot/bin-archive/cat5000-sup2k9.8-4-2.bin disk1:cat5000-sup2k9.8-4-2.bin

The scp counterpart does.

Re: copy ftp behavior question

Hi

Its better to setup the username and password in the global config mode which will be used for doing FTP to the server.

Re: copy ftp behavior question

No, you won't get prompted. (Although it might still work if you've otherwise configured the username/password or if the server supports anonymous logins)

Andrew.
