I thought I would share this VBscript a guy put together for me that takes the output from the Data Extraction engine (DEEsv.pl) script written by jclarke at Cisco and peforms a little magic to cut out a number of fields that weren't useful to me.
These are the fields before:
Network Element Information
Chassis Information
Chassis Cards
Module Information
Port Information
Interface Information
Protocol Endpoint Information
Memory Pool
These are the fields after:
Network Element Information
Chassis Information
Chassis Cards
Module Information
Simply paste the entire output from the DEEsv.pl script into the top window then click the Translate button and it will remove all fields except the 5 listed directly above.
All you have to do then is copy the resulting output to a file then open that file w/ Excel as a .csv and you're done.
P.S. This executable script DOES NOT have a virus loaded in it. If you choose not to try this out, I can understand. However, if you do wish to give it a shot, I think you'll like it.
