fresh instalation, other things are working ok (so far), but dfm dicovery does not. Devices are in questioned state, with SNMP timeout, but comm name is ok. when will ciscoworks become normal product!?!?

I would suggest you to re-install the application. It should work

what do you meand? just DFM or whole cw?

Which version of service pack do you have installed for CS, RME and DFM?

Is you CW2K Server behind a firewall? DFM now pings all devices prior to placing it in the database as "known". If it does not receive a ICMP Echo-Reply from the device, the device will be in questioned state indicating a SNMP timeout. Try this: Go on the CW2K Server with DFM and do a ping to one of the device the DFM is trying to manage. If the ping fails, that is your issue.

:-)) it would be to easy. no server is not behind fw, other modules can see devices (core, topology, rme), I can ping devices from server.
