Make sure udp/162 is not being used by another application. Check the output of netstat -a -n to see if the port is in use.

Re: DFM 3.1.2 snmp traps

Output of netstat -a -n

Protocol:udp Localaddress:0.0.0.0 Localport:162 RemoteAddress:0.0.0.0 Remoteport:0 State:LISTENING

I tried changing to port number to unused port number but output was same.Only port 162 was changed to other port i chose. But still it gets stuck again showing wait msg.

How can we verify whether it is recieving traps or not, & how to verify traps are sent from Devices(Router/Switch).

For eg:- i want to enable traps for linkup/linkdown events.
