With build in dhcpd, is there a way to assign IP's based on mac address on the ASA5510?
Or do I have to route dhcp requests to my 2811 router in order to do this?

Hi
I dont think ASA can do the same kinda ip allocation based on the mac address as our our normal router does.
Its better to have the same configured in your router which can be a viable solution on the operations point of view too..

ok then...
on the 2811, I have the inside interface FE00 10.10.10.1
on the ASA
outside 10.10.10.2 - wired to 2811 FE00
inside 10.1.13.1
I was running dhcp on ASA inside, but now I have to run in on 2811 FE00. How do I set that up?
(so ASA inside computers get 10.1.13.X IP via dhcp)

so there is no "helper-address" I can configure on my inside (or vlan) interface?
Nice going cisco.
