We are wanting to create a URL that will directly access the UT report associated with that endhost. The idea is to have a direct link from our network docs that would open up the report in CW that would give us the port and device that the server was attached too.
I have researched using the cmexport utility and specifing a query - but it seems you ahve to already have the query defined.
I would like to just pass a URL with IP address of the server/device.
Beyond that, the closest URL you could get that would allow you to specify arbitrary end host search criteria is http://server/cmapps/goHome.do . Unfortunately, this is not exactly what you want as you would still need to type in the data yourself.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
