Disable Port Link State Logging

Mike Hendriks

Hello,

I have a Catalyst 3560 configured to send syslog messages to a syslog server.  This switch has a host plugged into one of its edge ports which resets its link state every 20 minutes (due to an intentionally configured 20-minute restart interval).  I'd like to turn off the logging of this (and only this) specific event.  I wasn't able to have much luck with searching.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Under the interface configuration for the port, add these two commands:

no logging event link-status

no snmp trap link-status
