Assuming you meant the SNMP linkUpDown trap messages, yes, you can control that per interface via:

[no] snmp trap link-status

by default CiscoWorks does not alert on up/down of access ports. Only trunks, uplinks and wan links.

In our parallel sytem HPOV it seemed to have an issue with the up/down links and the person for that system went in and did a no snmp trap link status on every interface. So now when trunks or uplinks go down. we dont know about it.

I say this only as a caution as to which interfaces you want "managed" in cw.

Hi,

Yep. I got it yesterday... my intention is to avoid this ISDN VOICE interface which goes up n down for each voice call to be removed from sending traps for that...

Thanks for the input again..

have enabled both in the sense..

no snmp trap link-status

no logging event link-status
