Disaster Recovery LMS

We use CiscoWorks LMS to monitor and make changes to our network. I am looking into a disaster recovery plan for LMS and I am wondering how to go about doing that. If server that contains LMS for us is destroyed, how would I go about restoring to pre-disaster conditions? thank you!

Re: Disaster Recovery LMS

Make sure you have an OS backup and an LMS backup. Restore the OS backup first. This should get everything back to where it was before the event. However, the OS backup cannot properly handle the internal LMS systems. Then you have to restore the LMS backup. At that point, the server should be exactly the way it was before the event in terms of LMS.

Of course, you'll want to keep multiple copies of these backups including an offsite copy...just in case.
