Displaying Ciscworks LMS 2.5.1 Syslog messages on a web page

Hi,

I remember reading something about this when I used LMS2.2 .

Is there any way you can dynamically export syslog messages to a web page that anyone can view that updates real time ?

Thanks in advance.

Well,

The events that trigger an automated action could trigger a script to update the web pages.

But I guess since many many syslog messages can hammer a server, real time might not be that attrative, what would be more interresting is to take a look at the RME syslog database every so many minutes an generate a page from that.

Hi,

If you run syslog on a Unix server then you can run a script which keeps your log open .

ex

#!/bin/ksh

tput clear

tail -500f /Logging/network.log | grep -v SEC\-6

One of my customers is using it this way.
