Displaying Sysname/hostname

We are trying to get CW to display the devices by sysname/hostname. I have turned on the option for sysname in CS but that did nothing. We have only and handful of our devices in DNS and those showed up. Is DNS the only way to do this?

Our hostnames describe the location of the device and it would be nice to see that instead of just an IP. I did not want to enter some 700 devices in DNS.

DNS or a local hosts file are the only ways to do what you want. Even if you select the Resolve By SysName option, Discovery will try to look the sysName up in DNS/hosts to see that it resolves to an IP address.
