I'm installing LMS 3.1, using CS 3.2.0. When I open any app like CM 5.1.3 or DFM 3.1.3 the devices are labeled with IP addresses instead of the host names. How can I use the hostname on the device (switches aren't entered in DNS) to make things easier to understand?
Re: Displays using IP instead of Hostnames for labels
For Campus Manager and RME, you can simply go to DCR, and add Display Names to your devices. DFM, however, does not respect Display Name. You will need to add the devices' IPs to DNS or the server's local hosts file, then remove and re-add the devices in DFM in order for DFM to display the hostnames.
