downloading prime ncs

i just received our PAK for the prime ncs 1.

i registered it on the web and received the email which clear states

"Before you proceed, make sure that the NCS appliance is running and configured on the network."

i need to download the software appliance.

i go to the download site which tells me that i need a service contract.

what am i missing here? how do i get the software?

Did you try:

http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/navigator.html?mdfid=283825774&i=rm ?

If your Cisco.com userid is not set up as a service contract owner, you'll have to contact the TAC to get the entitlement to download the software. A call would probably be easiest. Here are the contact numbers:

i opened a call w/ tac 3 days ago.

i see the call moving around in cisco, but really-

didn't it occur to them that purchasing the software and the support is 2 different things?

why would the download webpage demand a service contact?

this just sends those who purchase the product itself on a run around.

i'm really looking forward to this product.

Did you get the software you needed? If not, let me know the SR number associated with this issue and provide me you cisco.com ID via email (ccube@cisco.com) (DO NOT POST IT HERE!) and I will follow up on this issue for you.
