Duplicate IP address errors in DFM after going to native IOS from CATOS
After we upgraded to native IOS on our 75-9's we now get a DFM trap IP Duplicate address everytime cisco works does a discovery, which is daily. These are addresses which are on point-to-point connections between core layer switches. Has anybody had this issue before?
Re: Duplicate IP address errors in DFM after going to native IOS
I have not personally converted a switch from Hybrid to Native while that switch was managed by DFM. However, I have seen this problem with duplicate IPs on other devices. There is currently a bug in which these messages will not clear (CSCsd03681 and CSCsc21691). There is a script available from the TAC that can force these alarms out of DFM, but it would be quicker (if possible) for you to remove the switch from DFM, then re-add it.
The ability to remove certain events will be available in DFM 2.0.6 due out in September.
