editing device credential on more than one device at a time

Hi Guys,

I need to change the password Ciscoworks uses in accessing my devices(common services). I know how to do this one at a time but i need to edit them all at once.

any ideas.

The method I've found to be the easiest is to do a full inventory export to csv and do a find/replace on the password field using your favorite utility (vi, excel, etc) and then re-import using the file as the autoritative source so that the changes are propagated to your live inventory. I do this about once a quarter for SOX compliance.

Hi Akinsola,

i am used to t this:

navigate to "Common Services -> Device and Credentials -> Device Management" and check the entry "Device Type Groups" for all devices and click on the button "Edit Credentials".

Change the values you want and click on "Finish".

I hope that helps.

Best regards,

Frank
