Re: Electrical Power Consumption of Cisco Devices

Hi,

Use electrician/technician tool from Fluke

Fluke 1735 measures power consumption http://www.fluke.de/comx/press_release.aspx?locale=uken&press=2792

Your electrical contractor or building management have these devices.

Some Data Centre installed a power meter per rack, cage/secure room or PDU (Power Distribution Unit).

Re: Electrical Power Consumption of Cisco Devices

I bought a small electric energy meeter.

it only cost something like 10 USD,

so I could checkout how much electriity diffferent devices use under different loads.

it connects between the power connection cord and the well socket.

If you only want the specification values so you can aproximate the values then go to the datasheets of each type of unit you have and it tells you there.

fx:
