Enable RMON error campus manager

hi, I use Campus Manager 5.0.1.

when I want to enable RMON for topology services to monitor bandwidth, I get following error:

Unable to perform SNMP operation on device. verify that DCR is configured with correct read/write community strings for the device.

I checked onder campus manager > admin > snmp settings and under common services > device and credentials > default credentials.

and both SNMP settings are filled in correctly.

what is another possible solution?

Thanks

Lindsay

Re: Enable RMON error campus manager

you have checked the general snmp settings which LMS should use when first contacting a device (SNMP RO: campus manager > admin > snmp settings) and the default credentials that should be written to the database when a device gets added to DCR; Check if LMS can really communicate with the device: Open the Device Center for that device, in the Tools section go to 'Management Station to Device' and run the test for SNMP. If it fails go to 'Edit Device Credentials' and re-enter the correct values for this device and also double-check the values in the device config.

Then do again the 'Management Station to Device' test.
