can we extract the information from SNMP trap received at LMS? Then generate report from it.

No. LMS doesn't provide a general purpose trap receiver, and there are no API hooks to extract the trap data that DFM does receive.

how about extracting trap information from DFM? can we generate the report for any failure happenen?

No, you cannot extract trap data from DFM programmatically. However, you can view the consolidated set of DFM alerts and events within the DFM Alerts and Activities Display. You can even search for alerts and events up to a month in the past using the DFM Fault History feature.
