check if you have complete premssion to the backup folder..

gave it # Chmod  777  premission

also check if any backup.Lock exist, if yes manually delete and re-run the job and
share the complete dbabckup.log

Thanks-

I'm sorry what do you mean with "

gave it # Chmod  777  premission
and also there is no backuplock file

I mean ,let say you are saving you backup under /opt/cw_backup then

cd /opt > chmod 777 cw_backup

chown casuser:casusers /opt/CSCOpx

chmod 777 /opt/CSCOpx

chown casuser:casusers /opt/CSCOpx/bin/tar
chmod 777 /opt/CSCOpx/bin/tar

and also ciscoworks run on solaris

Thanks for your reply but  I still have this problem ,when I  see the logs  I find alot of directories  ciscoworks  can't  add it

for example this directory

/scratch/lms/CW_Archive/All_Configration/difffiles/10024

and when I see this directory in system  i found this line

drwxrwx---   3 102      100          512 Jul 28  2008 PRIMARY

all of other directories which can't be added  give the same result

Shall  i add  permission commands for it ?

yes ..if the premission is missing ..give it a right set of premission..
