Failed import on VMS2.3/Firewall MC 1.3.5 does not recover?

I attempted to import a device into the Firewall MC on VMS, but it failed for some reason (not sure why as all the details were correct). The job is now sat on the import screen saying import and the cancel button is greyed out. If you click on it it just says failed. There seems to be no way of recovering it. If I log on as another user and attempt to take over the changes I get a Java error and can't go any further?

Any ideas?

This is on Windows by the way and the latest patches have been applied to all apps.

I think http and its authentication may not be enabled. So, try enabling both.Since,It is not well known that firewall MC is using https (TCP/443) to import or discover

settings from PIX devices.

So lets enable and verify that first.

Please do the following in PIX config:

= enable https:

http server enable

http a.b.c.d 255.255.255.255 inside <<==== IP address of firewall MC here

= RSA keys are also needed for https to work, so generate them if that

was not done before:

domain-name ....

ca generate rsa key 512

Finally verify HTTPS connection:

= from firewall MC machine start IE and use https://pix_ip_address

HTTPS is already enabled - I think the application bombed out and is stuck. I need a way to remove the 'importing' status so I can re-import. I have tried re-loading the server but the importing status stays the same.
