CNR supports DHCP failover association between two DHCP server running CNR. IF the client is requesting an IP address and DHCP discover is reaching both the server and one server is giving peer holds all free leases what does that means. What is MCLT timer in DHCP failover. Please advice new to CNR documntation is not much clear. Messages are displayed at syslog.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Failover association in CNR

MCLT is Maximum Client Lease time, which is 1 hour by default.Normally a server assigns an ip address to the client for a specified period of time.If the server goes down, MCLT would be added to the lease time so that the lease time can be prolonged till the server comes back up.For more information refer the following URL
