I was wondering why usertracking in the current CW LMS 3.2 is not supported for firewalls (ASA, PIX, FWSM etc.).
It wouldn't be to difficult I suppose to implement this, because it allready does the same for routers (reading arp and mac tables and comparing those).
So please development of LMS could you implement this in the next release?

The issue is not with ARP support, but rather with CDP support. Since these devices do not support CDP, and Campus requires it, they would appear as unconnected on the Topology Map. This would tend to lead to service requests asking why firewalls are always unconnected.
However, I definitely see the need for some kind of UT support for firewall devices. I would strongly suggest you engage your account team, and have them file a PERS on your behalf.

Allright, clear, but I rather see the devices as unconnected than not at all.
Thanks for the answer though, I will engage our account team with this feature request.
