Re: Find the SNMP OID for determining Cisco CatOS

1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0

This OID will tell you the model of the device and the IOS/CatOS version.

Help that helps.

Re: Find the SNMP OID for determining Cisco CatOS

In general, if the sysObjectID starts with 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5 it's a CatOS device. Devices with a sysObjectID starting with 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1 are IOS devices. Note: this is not a hard and fast rule as there are many non-IOS devices that have a 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1 sysObjectID. However, if all your devices are either CatOS or IOS, then this should work for you.
