Forgotten Info

I have a client who has forgotten or lost the login and password for his current internet router.

Do the procedures differ from device make to device make or is there a "all in one" solution to resolve such issues as forgotten or lost user names and/or passwords to access the Cisco IOS software?

The password recovery procedure does depend on the actual platform to some extent. What sort of device are we talking about here ?

Password recovery procedure is not the same across all platforms. Some apply to a set of devices and some may apply only to a specific platform.

You can do a search on CCO with the keyword 'password recovery procedure (platform #)'.
