Ghosting across the network

I have a dilemma. Our desktop support currently uses Ghost to image PC?s on the network. Since they are using Broadcast/Multicast, how can I apply an access-list to ensure that this multicast does not affect other VLANS?

Hi Shannon,

Per Cisco document, "Any switch port can belong to a VLAN, and unicast, broadcast, and multicast packets are forwarded and flooded only to end stations in the VLAN." Therefore, instead of flooding traffic to all vlans on a switch for multicast traffic, the switch only flood the port(s) belong to the same vlan. Thus, you don't need to apply the ACL to vlans.

Best regards,

Frank
