Re: HardWare Question

"With a forwarding rate of up to 400-Mpps distributed and 720-Gbps total throughput, the Cisco 7609 provides performance and reliability with options for redundant route processors and power supplies."

From http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps368/ps367/product_data_sheet09186a0080169ead_ps368_Products_Data_Sheet.html

Hope that helps.

Re: HardWare Question

Collin,

Sorry to bother you, could you help me out one more time..

The console port on my supervisor card is broken...

If I install the redundant supervisor card then take out the one that is broken nothing will happen right..

I mean, the IOS ect ect should be transfer automatically on the new card right?

Please and thank you

Re: HardWare Question

No, you must put the IOS on the Supervisor! I would make sure the config is synced and copy it to flash on the new Sup just in case.

Re: HardWare Question

Collin,

Is there any documentation on the internet that could help me out..

Supervisor on a 7609 never did before...

this router also peers with our gateways so I don't want to mess anything up..

thanks in advance...
