Help with Ciscoworks

I am currently running the latest version of Ciscoworks and have not been able to locate any information that says I can tftp my configs from cisco works to a backup tftp server. Also the docs state that the shadow directory should be saving my configs in clear text but it does not seem to be doing that. What am I doing incorrectly?

Re: Help with Ciscoworks

The shadow configs are not saved by default under LMS 2.5.

From an earlier post (tip o' the hat to davistan), here is how to enable it:

Stop the ConfigMgmtServer process. To do this follow this procedure:

Select Common Services > Server > Admin > Processes.

The Process Management dialog box appears.

Select the ConfigMgmtServer process.

Click Stop.

Select Resource Manager Essentials > Admin > Config Mgmt > Archive Mgmt.

The Archive Settings dialog box appears.

Select the Enable Shadow Directory check box.

Click Apply.

A message shows that the changes were made.

Restart the ConfigMgmtServer process. To do this follow this procedure:

Select Common Services > Server > Admin > Processes.

The Process Management dialog box appears.

Select the ConfigMgmtServer process.

Click Start.

Hope this helps. Please rate helpful posts.
