Re: High CPU for serial background process

Hi

As per the supporting doc its mainly becoz of the serial interface resets.

Interface resets mainly happens coz of frequent up/down or faults with the line connected to those interfaces.

"Watches events and branches to the correct service routine for each expired event (mainly reset of interfaces)"

i would suggest here to keep a check on your interface couters which are related to errors, interface resets etc.,

if you get some suspicion on any particular interface do check that out also shut the unsed interfaces if any..

Do add more info on whta kinda router you are using up there and the no of interfaces, type of interfaces also the links connected on those interfaces..

if possible do post out the show version and show interface o/p here..
