You need to go to Common Services -- Server -- Security and look at Certificate Setup and Peer Server Certificate Setup.
You can check the settings here to make sure the servers have the correct name.
LMS 2.2:
1. Reboot the machine where you are accessing Ciscoworks, then
a. Access CiscoWorks Server
b. If the server uses a self-signed Certificate (default), the user is prompted with a dialog saying the Certificate is issued by an
untrusted site....Do you want to Proceed?"
c. Choose View Certificate Option
d. In the Certificate dialog, choose "Install Certificate".
e. In the Certificate Import Wizard, Choose the default options
f. Close the browser
g. Access the CiscoWorks Server Again.
The above mentioned workaround will _not_ solve the problem if:
- The Common Services WebServer Certificate is not valid/has expired
and/or
- The Common Services WebServer Certificate has a HostName different than
what is used to invoke the CiscoWorks server.
In such cases, following steps can be done to "modify" the Common Services
WebServer Certificate (applicable only for CiscoWorks Common Services 2.2):
a. Go to NMSROOT\lib\web (in a Windows server) or NMSROOT\objects\web\bin
(in a Solaris server)
b. Run SSLUtil.pl (NMSROOT\bin\perl SSLUtil.pl)
c. Choose Option 7. ie " Modify Common Services Certificate ".
d. Give the correct Host Name. If the Host is not in DNS, give the IP
address.
In other words, enter the Host Name using which you would invoke CiscoWorks.
e. Restart Daemon Manager and Apply the same Workaround.
