How to clear the DCR and all Databases?

I'm running LMS 3.0.1 on Solaris 10.

Does anyone know of an easy way to delete all devices from the DCR and all of the various application databases whilst leaving system settings intact?

We have two LMS installations with a Master/Slave DCR arrangement.

Background: this is a recently installed system and since installation there have been a large number of hardware changes on the network due to a hardware refresh project.

It strikes me as far easier to remove everything and do a fresh discovery than to try to fix all the discrepencies that we now have!

This will clean out all databases, but will also destroy some system settings as well. As Michel said, it might be easier to just go to Common Services > Device and Credentials > Device Management, and delete all the devices from there.

In the DCRyou can select and delete all devices in one go. They are then also removed from all other applications.

Take a backup by exporting the devices from the DRC before you do this.

Thanks Michel,

I wondered if this would actually be the case, or will the orphaned devices still remain in the application databases (DFM, RME etc)?

Is there a database purge or cleanup that it might be advisable to run before starting a new discovery?
