An orange light on switch means that the port is administratively down, i.e. disabled. It might be down due to Spanning Tree also. Basically, there is something misconfigured in your switch. You should check following :
1. A swicth connecting to other switch should be in trunk mode.
2. Make sure the speed, duplex and other parameters are configured properly. You can set to auto negotiations and all.
3. You should share show run <interface_number> and show ip int brief output to show what is the status when it is amber.
4. You can check by connecting a PC on the switch to see if that works properly.
