Identify a port on Cat 6500 given the IP address using snmp

Hi: I want to build a script that can identify the port on a switch to which an IP address is connected? Is there a MIB OID I can poll to find the precise port given an IP address?

This is a fairly common question. There is a tech tip on Cisco.com for doing this:

The short answer is multiple MIBs will be involved to translate from IP address to port number, but it is doable.
