Incorrect community on a Router 4500

Hello,

i am running openview network node manager extended topology, and every time when the extended topology run, i get traps from one router, which says incorrect community strings. I see, when i to a trace, that openview uses the community string readstring@1. Why it the

@1 added? Is this a problem from the router or from node manager?

@1 usually refers to community string indexing. In this case it usually refers to a VLAN, VLAN 1.

However, if the community strings on the device have an @ character then things will get messy as the NMS/device will assume indexing and not that its @ in the string.

I have no @ sign in my community string and have not configured any vlans on the router. So i think, that the HP nodemanager ask for informations which are not on the router. My problem is, does the router send informations back to the nodemanger when it is queried with the normal community string, or is there a problem in the nodemanager. I use version 7.51 ET. The error is only seeing, when the nodemanger does a extended discovery.
