Hi everyone!

DFM does not receive interface and subinterfaces status (admin/oper)about MSR 8510 though i am receiving threshold alerts. Checking the configuration, below are the only config defined:

logging x.x.x.x

snmp-server community xxxx RO

snmp-server community xxxx RW

Missing is the:

snmp-server x.x.x.x

could this be the reason?

Certainly link traps help DFM, but it should be able to determine that kind of information from polling. Admittedly, the 8500 series is old and end of life, and could have numerous SNMP instrumentation issues. This might be related to such an issue.

You should check the ifTable (ifOperStatus/ifAdminStatus) for the interfaces that are transitioning state on this device, and verify that the correct state is being reported via SNMP.

hi jclarke!

how can i do that then?

thanks...

You can use the SNMP Walk tool in the CiscoWorks Device Center to walk the ifTable of this device.
