IP Phone Detection

I am having trouble getting my ip phones to be recognized in capus manager topology. All of my switches are being mapped and the phone come up when I do a quick report under user tracking (for host option), but when I try to do the report for show all ip phones I receive an error that says no ip phones detected. I am using LMS 2.5

Has ciscoworks discoverd your Callmanagers?

If not enable CDP and SNMP on them so that it can discover them

No they have not but I will try that. I know that the phones get detected through CDP and that they show when I search all hosts, but when I do a search for all IP phones I get nothing. All of our phone ports use the voice vlan and access vlan on the same port so I don't know if cisco works gets confused with it. Can you assign snmp communities to the cisco phones?
