IP SLA for UDP applications

Hi Guys,

I will like to use Cisco IP SLA on my network. Can u use it to monitor a UDP application?

example: syslog (UDP 514)

I am not sure what parameters of that application (or server) you want to monitor. As far as protocol is concerned, IP SLA monitor can work with UDP. Please see the below link which might help

Thanks for your response.

What i intend to do is to monitor any udp service using IP sla and track it .

UDP service like syslog (514) or tftp (69)

and track the result to make a routing decision. i know how to track the result from Ip sla but i don't know how to monitor UDP services.
