IPM 4.0.1 can not create a collector

LMS 3.0.1

I'd like to create a collector of UDP Jitter.

I go to IPM -> Collector Mgmt -> Collectors and click Create

after that I get an error:

Error in communicating with Group Administration Server.

It may be down or not yet up. Please make sure that the Group Administration Server is up and running, then refresh the page.

I check status of RMEOGSServer in Common Services > Server > Admin > Processes

It works.

I checked the log file RMEOGSServer.log in /var/adm/CSCOpx/log. It has nothing. The size of the file is zero.

I tried to stop and start RMEOGSServer, but never changed.

How to fix it ?

Re: IPM 4.0.1 can not create a collector

Actually, IPM has its own IPMOGSServer.log in /var/adm/CSCOpx/log.

First thought coming to mind is the good ol' NMSROOT/lib/classpath/md.properties fix, as discussed in the following post: Basically shortening "PX_FQDN=your-hostname.company.com" to "PX_FQDN=your-hostname". Don't forget to restart dmgtd.

If that doesn't fix it, the post referenced below mentions that /var/sadm/pkg/CSCOmd/pkginfo might need the same attention too. Though I just took a gander at mine, and it has "PX_FQDN=my-hostname.fqdn.com" in there.
