IPM is not designed to monitor traffic or load on interfaces. It is designed to use synthetic probes (known as collectors) to gather latency and round-trip response time about paths or hops in the network. This requires an IP SLA source device, and some IP addressable target (for most operations).
We will be coming out with an add-on product to LMS in December called Health and Utilization Monitor which will allow you to monitor specific interfaces for traffic statistics.
